Custom Rock Pants
Those of you who have followed me over the years will know that, alongside my monthly collection releases, I used to also do made to order clothing items as well as complete custom order clothing. Eventually I was so burned out and poorly from the stress and overwhelm that I had to say enough is enough and just stick with the collection work and cut out all the custom made stuff. This was around 10 years ago now, however over the past few months I have tentatively started to open back up to custom orders once again.
With the world in it's current state of deterioration, I've been finding it's no longer financially viable to keep making stock that is sitting around for months on end, therefore I have made the decision to focus more on custom work so that I'm only spending money on the materials I definitely need for something that has already been purchased.
For now, I am mainly sticking to custom pants only- there are a few exceptions where I will consider a full outfit, however, I'm mostly sticking to my main area of expertise, which has to be the pants! I have a custom rock pants section on my site where you can now fill out details of your request and include any reference photos to help describe what you have in mind, and I will get back to you as soon as possible!
Here are a few of my favourite custom pants orders that I have made recently:
Custom Wet Look, Lace up Buckle Strap Pants
These custom gothic flare pants were based on my original design from 2020, featured on the left but with some slight tweaks. Made with a mixture of sleek black wet look lycra and faux leather with highly detailed buckle straps on the thigh and lower legs, these pants are a statement piece for sure. The faux leather buckle straps, like everything else, are made by hand and from scratch, each one is unique and includes rivets, studs, rings and eyelets. There is so much metal hardware in these pants that they are quite literally "heavy metal"! The stretch wet look fabric and the adjustable sides mean that they can be adjusted for an easy fit. Although this pair was a remake, due to the very nature of the straps decorating the front, they are still truly unique.
Custom Black/Silver Lace up Rivet Pants
These custom made black and silver skinny pants were based on an older design I made in 2019 (shown on the left) made with spandex, silver faux leather and gunmetal hardware.
My customer wanted a pair as close as possible to the original and personally, I think the re-make turned out better. As the silver faux leather is not something I stock and could not find again, I improvised by painting black faux leather silver myself. Instead of going for a solid colour, I chose more of a "fade out" effect with the silver paint fading into the black. In addition to this tweak, we decided to add lace up sides in order to make them more adjustable to fit, since the leather on the front doesn't have the greatest amount of give, and functionality is high up on my list of priorities when designing. I think the lace up sides really added to the dimension of these pants and make them a tad more heavy metal!
Custom Black Double Lace up Gothic Pants
These custom lace up pants were for one of my regular customers who wanted a pair similar to the original design (that she also owns) on the right, but without the front modesty panels, so that they lace up all the way to the top of the waistband. These were made with high shine metallic black spandex for a comfortable and breathable wear. The fully lace up front and sides mean they can also be massively adjusted to fit. I lost count of how many eyelets went into these pants, but it was a lot. We added some silver chains to the hips, to finish the look off.
Custom Purple/Black Spiked Fishnet Pants
These one of a kind, high waisted black & purple spiked skinny pants were inspired by one of Rhea Ripley's outfits. My customer is a big fan and wanted some pants to represent one of Rhea's looks. I'm always wary about not wanting to take too much inspiration from other designers so I took the colour combination and the fishnet fabric and ran with my own style. These one of a kind custom pants were made with a matte black sheen spandex and purple metallic detailing with overlays of black fishnet and faux leather. Covered in silver hardware, including spikes, rivets, rings, chains and eyelets for a badass metal vibe. The high waist features a studded lace up fly, belt loops and decorative O-rings.
Custom Wet Look Star & Lightning Flare Pants
I had a lot of fun making these unique flares, it was a nice change working with gold hardware, which I don't think I've ever done before! These flare pants are made from a sleek black wet look fabric with panels of matte spandex for contrast. I used a metallic faux leather for the little silver stars and gold lightning details and I used a mix of gold and silver rivets to tie in with these embellishments. The pants have a high waist, butt sculpt studded overlay at the back, belt loops and lace up fly.
Custom Wet Look, Lace up Buckle Strap Pants (part 2, 3 & 4)
After I posted the photo of the first buckle strap custom pants I made, I ended up with another 3 orders for the same style but each with various tweaks made. One with a super low rise, another high waisted, the other with some custom style pockets at the back. Due to the nature of the buckle straps being hand crafted and each unique, as well as the placement being very organic and having to adapt to fit with the size and length of the pants, it has meant that despite making 4 custom pairs "the same" each one has still turned out unique in itself.
Custom Wet Look Star & Lace up Heavy Metal Rivet Flares
This custom order was based on a pair of heavy metal flares that are still available on my site, just with a slightly higher waist and fully adjustable lace up sides as opposed to the waist straps of the original. These are covered in distressed faux leather and topped with loads of silver rivets, eyelets and chains. The lace up sides makes them comfortable and easily adjustable as well as adding detail and depth to the look.
Custom Purple & Black Studded Flare Pants with Giant O-rings
These flares were based on one of my much older designs previously sold. The customer wanted a black background with loads of intricate purple detailing with a mixture of different fabrics. They asked that I add in some spider web fabric, giant O-rings and chains.
